Local SEO for home service businesses
Show up in the map pack for your services in every town you cover.
Who this is for
Owner-operators of local trades, from a crew of three to a company running eight trucks, whose customers search for the trade plus a town and call whoever appears. If most of your work comes from within a drive of your yard, this is the foundation everything else stands on.
The problem it solves
When a homeowner searches for your trade, Google shows three businesses on a map before anything else. If you are not one of them, you are invisible to most of the people searching, however good your work is. Getting into that pack, and staying there across every town you cover, is a specific job with specific parts, and most trade businesses have never had anyone do it properly.
What is included
- A ranking baseline: where you sit in the map pack for each service in each town you cover, next to the three competitors above you
- Google Business Profile built out and kept active, because for local work the profile does more than the website
- Service and town pages on your site, which is what local search actually rewards
- Citations and listings made consistent so Google trusts your name, address, and phone
- Review generation switched on, because review count and pace are a ranking signal
- A monthly read of movement by service and town, in plain words
What is not included
- Paid ads; that is a separate service and it goes on once the profile and site can convert the clicks
- Content written for search engines rather than customers; every page we build has to be worth reading if Google sent nobody
- Pages for towns you do not actually serve
How it runs
- 01
Audit
We start with the free audit: your profile, your rankings, your reviews, your site, beside the competitors above you. You get the findings whether or not you go ahead.
- 02
Profile and listings
The Google Business Profile is claimed, verified, categorised, and built out. Other listings are corrected to match it exactly.
- 03
Site structure
We build or restructure the pages so each service and each town you serve has a page that answers the search and asks for the job.
- 04
Reviews and activity
The review request goes out after every completed job, replies are handled, and the profile gets posts and photos so it does not go quiet.
- 05
Measure and adjust
Each month we look at where you moved, by service and town, and decide what to do next from that rather than from a plan written before we saw the data.
What we need from you
- Access to your Google Business Profile, or the details to claim it
- Your real service list and the towns you actually want to drive to
- Photos of finished work, taken on a phone is fine
- Your licence and insurance details where the trade requires them
Timeline
The profile and listings are usually corrected in the first weeks. Rankings move at Google's pace, not ours, and depend heavily on how competitive your towns are. We report movement monthly and we do not promise a position.
How pricing works
Setup is a one-time flat fee, quoted after the free audit once we have seen your market. Ongoing work is either a flat monthly rate or a price per booked estimate, your choice. There are no dollar figures on this site because we will not quote a market we have not looked at. What you own, whatever happens.
Questions owners ask about this
Is local SEO different from ordinary SEO?
Yes. Ordinary SEO chases rankings on the page of blue links. Local SEO chases the map pack, which is what a homeowner sees first when they search for a trade near them, and it is won mostly on the Google Business Profile, reviews, and consistent business details rather than on long articles.
How long until we see movement?
Profile fixes can show in weeks. Competitive towns take longer, and a business with no reviews starting against competitors with hundreds takes longer still. We will tell you what we expect after the audit, and we will not put a number on it before then.
Do we need a new website for this to work?
Not always. If the site loads fast on a phone and can carry a page per service and town, we work with it. If it cannot, we tell you, and the rebuild is a separate service you can take or leave.
Will you write pages for every town in Florida?
No. We build pages for the towns you serve and can say something true about. Pages made only to catch a search term get ignored by Google and by customers.
See what your own axis looks like
We pull your Google profile, your reviews, your site speed, and the three competitors sitting above you in the map pack, then walk you through what we would change first. No charge, no obligation.
